Emily Ratajkowski wore René Caovilla Chandelier Sandals as she walked the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 6, 2024.

While the actress and model opted for heeled shoes for tonight’s festivities, she has recently shown a preference for comfort-oriented footwear. On April 19, she embraced the ballet flat trend by kicking back in a pair of black leather ballet flats while taking a stroll around Manhattan. She also tapped into the Adidas Samba trend on April 15. The sneakers feature black accents, beige suede detailing on the toe and contrasting brown outsoles.

The Chandelier stiletto sandal by René Caovilla features hand-stitched crystal drops, inspired by Venetian chandeliers, on its signature coiled snake element and upper bands, presenting a design focused on luxury.

This sandal, made in Italy, features an almond toe design, a 4-inch heel, and is constructed from satin and premium leather.

René Caovilla, established in 1934 in Venice, Italy, is recognized for its superior craftsmanship and elegant design, positioning it as a prestigious luxury footwear brand. The founder, René Caovilla, inherited shoemaking expertise from his father. Characterized by its attention to detail, René Caovilla features intricate details such as embroidery, Swarovski crystals, and the use of distinctive materials like lace and feathers. The brand offers a variety of high-end footwear, including sandals, pumps and boots.

René Caovilla’s creations have graced the feet of prominent celebrities and fashion icons, including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Anna Dello Russo. Beyond its main collection, the brand offers a bridal line and has collaborated with other renowned luxury brands such as Valentino and Balmain.

The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” celebrates the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit. The 2024 event is notably co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
