There are few things as miserable as spending all winter with cold, wet feet whenever you leave the house, but you shouldn't let adverse weather mess with your capacity to have fun. Snow boots keep feet warm and dry, so you can still enjoy many of the outdoor pursuits you do in warmer weather. Most manufacturers give their boots a warmth rating, so you can tell what kind of conditions they’ll keep your feet warm in. If you’re mostly buying boots for icy conditions or minimal snowfall, water-resistant options are fine. However, if you have deep snow to contend with or want your boots to keep your feet dry in the rain, opt for fully waterproof ones.
